About
Tango Gippsland (a not for profit entity) was formed by Carlos Argentina in December 2016 to provide an opportunity for one and all to enjoy the wonders and pleasures of Argentinian tango.
You will receive a solid foundation in traditional (social) tango.
Two hour classes vary in cost from $10 to $40 depending on the sponsorship received.
‘If you wait too long for the perfect moment, the perfect moment will pass you by.’
Approximately forty years ago Carlos started to learn tango but he ‘strayed’ (Rock & Roll, work, travel, football injury etc, etc, etc). Carlos was waiting for the perfect moment to get back into it; the only thing that happened was that (like all of us) he got older.
Not withstanding a double knee replacement in 2013, in 2016 Carlos said enough is enough; no more excuses and Tango Gippsland was born.

The first step is to say you can
AND if you can walk – you CAN tango.
Tango Gippsland is very grateful to Joh Lyons from the VRI Hall, David & Dianne from Sidewalk Tango in Richmond, Pam & Richard Jarvis from Southern Cross Tango in Geelong, Leonel Colque from Victoria Tango in Carlton and Melina Bath M.P. for their support and guidance in helping establish Tango Gippsland.
Like many before you, YOU will discover that your future will be enriched with joyous tango experiences, but BE WARNED, tango is addictive!
Tango waits for you.
Beginners want to dance like intermediates; intermediates want to dance like advanced dancers; advanced dancers want to dance like the greats; but the greats always go back to basics.
Tango Gippsland waits for you.
